Well actually we acquired the rights to Dr. Min's
Post# of 5066
"The acquired technology covers the use of RNA Interference to specifically inhibit the enzyme indolamine 2,3 deoxygenase (IDO). Tumors are known to escape the immune system by specifically activating this enzyme. In the patent and previous publication, Dr. Min and his team demonstrated that by blocking function of IDO, tumors would enter remission."
Then we licensed the rights from Benitec in order to perform the actual ddRNAi silencing. Here is the excerpt from the PR:
"Benitec's licence to Regen covers the application of ddRNAi to silence indoleamine 2,3 -- dioxygenase (IDO) in Dendritic Cells. IDO is associated with immune-suppression and is over-expressed in cancer. Regen has produced pre-clinical evidence that modification of these cells using ddRNAi targeting the silencing of IDO should significantly enhance their efficacy as anti-cancer vaccine agents."
Therefore anything that Dr. Min shows IDO silencing is able to affect in terms of cancer treatment is something that Regen would own the rights to because he is utilizing processes that Regen owns the patent to.
I understand your frustration and am sorry that your overinvested. I'm sure that's not a good feeling. However, take the time to understand the significance of the patents Regen owns and the exclusive licensing which they acquired from Benitec.
