this is a very fluid environment- we have seen pics where both huge piles of CWRN's ore and scrap metal filled up much of the container yard
in recent pic scrap is filling part of container yard
they do have 3 berths at eit -3rd one is that narrow extension only 10m deep berth 2/3 of the way to the distal far end of dock-never seen any ships there- u can see a small pile of containers next to such as if to ship on a small ship
but in 2008 they indicated i believe they were going to add a 2nd gantry crane berth-what happens when 2 container ships show at same time- container ships are on a tight schedule and take priority
but port has lacked money for expansion plans, which include building a whole new terminal N of city dedicated to bulk. We half jokingly say port was going to finance w CWRN's 45000 tons ore ready to ship 12-21-11,when,without warning, the port prematurely canceled the export permit just before the ship, then added extra audits by several agencies which took til Mar 6,2012 to complete and then used the ports own caused delays to claim ownership of CWRN's ore because after all the ports delays the ore had been there over 90 days.
So while CWRN's ore was being held hostage, CWRN focused on 0-1mm byproducts by getting the trommel and its loader May 19 2012, its mag sep July 3,w plans to ship byproduct Aug 2012-but Mex pres election of July 2012 was contested in courts -freezing permit process plus either new requirements re fert -requiring an export permit for it also -so couldnt get such due to contested pres election followed by a lameduck govt-so they were blocked on all sides
CWRN won the suit over the ore of course which is why the ore plus 23000 tons more ore shipped on the monster 80256 ton Panamax ilia as per the May 2013 PR.
the eit has increasingly specialized in wheat under new operator hph of eit but would like to build that separate terminal for all the bulk, which would be nice because space is tight at eit w increasing containers and wouldnt have to wait for container ships to be serviced and bump cargo ships
Navials 6a web version said Navial planned on ship station near Eerendira -only 6km from the mine- may be 1 reason Brad bought majority shares- by 2014,which they've now delayed for 3-5 yrs under new 7a web version, which logically means Brad does not expect port problems
all reports are of continued mining plus Brad inherited that large inventory which CWRN had been blocked from shipping and new April web version says have all permits and are shipping so planned on it at the time-April
why bother w burdensome permits if dont ship?
so logically either ore on ships designated by ship line also-though previously ore was designated min- or are trucking to Ensenada CEMEX plant-why wouldnt they? Bob was. Why would they have continued mining w all the inherited ore and not be trucking at least to CEMEX plant?
hopefully we will find out soon if CA case -which Brad is obviously following we now know,as per Luckymatas email, is over soon,as recent developments indicate it might be -court statements re geo default
OR our travelers might be able to confirm some things via their planned visit ca Oct 1
