In this case it's as simple as knowing that only HDPE, PP and LDPE plastics can be used and, in fact, that's all that's allowed by PTOI's permit.
Then looking on a site called "google.com" to find how much those plastics will cost. Mr. Bordynuik was full of crap thinking he could get those types for free as "waste" that nobody want when those plastics can be recycled.
Then the next step was seeing that even if the plastic was converted into pure diesel, it could still not fetch enough money to make the process worthwhile. PTOI's pyrolysis is literally just as worthless as everyone else's version pyrolysis.
It really, really is that simple. I've handed this to potential investors on a silver platter over four years ago. I don't know if anyone listed but if they did, they would have avoided up to a 97% loss. Those who continue to dismiss that math are on the course to taking a total loss.
