Dr. Menon is one intelligent guy when it comes to understanding formulas and how they could be used for treatments. I.E. Prurisol..Menon was in India and met a chancellor at a university. This chancellor introduced him to this molecule, Menon had an idea that it could be worth something so he licensed it to Cellceutix. He tweaked it a bit to make it target the proteins that are present in Psoriasis. Then he messed around with the formulation to enhance it's active moiety. Then they called it Prurisol and filed for the patent in January of 2012, so NO ONE knows just what the Active Moiety of this drug is.
With the results in animal studies that this completely Cured Psoriasis, I bet you that just about every single pharmacy is waiting and having bets on what the active moiety is. The only hint available is that it is a Prodrug of an already Existing Drug. This means that Dr. Menon has modified this original formula to break down at it's Target Protein or Gene site and then the active moiety of the drug is released.
I have been curious as to what existing drug this was. Anyone have a guess or know? Both Dr. Menon and CEO Ehrlich say that "few would ever think that it would work on Psoriasis".
This just makes me wonder, just how many more potential drugs Dr. Menon has in his closet???
