Remember that the 2 biggest shareholders, the 2 principals of this company, have also LOANED the company millions of dollars. Does anyone really think that they would let the company go under, taking their investment with them? Or that they would agree to a toxic financing deal that would make their eventual loan repayment questionable, not to mention making their massive stock positions worth less?
Nonsense.
This is not an "ordinary" biotech. Even if there has to be some sort of short-term financing deal, a small secondary offering, etc., this is not going to hurt shareholders in the long run. Rather, making sure that we have plenty of money puts us in a STRONGER position when Big Pharma comes calling.
