The real question is this:
Is the fact that they have an NDA indicative of anything in and of itself?
For instance, I can't imagine that every time Publix takes a meeting with a potential vendor, that said vendor is required to sign an NDA.
To me, this indicates that Publix does indeed like what they see with PK, and that they felt it was worth it enough to advance to a stage where an NDA would be required. That's a plus in my book.
This combined with the other moves they are making leads me to think that they are preparing for the scenario that they will need supply to meet demand. If Publix had dismissed them based on lack of sales at a lower level, then I'd think that would have happened early on. Then they wouldn't need more capacity right now, just a need to produce more sales at the current level they are at.
The fact that the steps they are taking are measured, and seemingly small is good IMO. It's unrealistic to think they are going nationwide instantly. That's impossible. But stepping up to the next level is entirely possible.

See, I also work in corp america and dealing with big corp bureaucracy requires some waiting for multi-levels of managers can approve...

Wow i came on tday with alot of pms from my plkd family just one question why sticky a convo with a manager from publix publically stating there is nothing final not even a test run or anything. WHY is that sticky worthy? if they said they are doing a trial run then yeah i can understand that but to say publically state theres nothing isnt positive its negative. Plkd is going to need sales from medium chains BEFORE you can even dream about a big boy like publix to touch it, they try to keep the BEST quality products on their shelves not some random, NEW, UNPROVEN water company they have seen thousands of companies just like this come across their conference room table and colored tops or not they are going to have to prove that their product is safe and Profitable so look to see Publix next year "if" it ever comes and isnt just a pump catalyst.

things take time. Updates will come
when they come, not every day, but when
everyone involved agrees to release info.
Frequent does not mean minute by minute
updates, but when NDA allows.
They've been updating pretty frequently the last few weeks IMO

We are pleased to share that we have been in direct communication with representatives from Publix about establishing a channel by which we could become a authorized vendor. We are working through the process which will allow our naturally balanced water for kids to be on their supermarket shelves very soon. We will update frequently as we continue through this process.
