ROI Land Investments, Ltd. Announces the Appointment of Mr. Philippe Germain as President and Mr. Robert Boisjoli, FCPA, FCA, CBV and Dr. Sami B. Chaouch, Ph.D. as Members of the Company's Board of Directors

QUEBEC CITY, Quebec, Aug. 21, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ROI Land Investments, Ltd. (OTCQB:ROII) ("ROI" or the "Company"), is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Philippe Germain as the Company's new President and the appointment of Mr. Robert Boisjoli, FCPA, FCA, CBV and Dr. Sami B. Chaouch, Ph.D. to the Company's Board of Directors.

Philippe Germain, 30, was the CEO and co-founder of Azur & Capital Fund LP, a leader in bridge financing of land and construction projects in Canada. Azur was acquired by Partners One Capital in 2014. Mr. Germain has been responsible for securing over $50 million from private and institutional investors. Mr. Germain started his entrepreneurial career by developing 140 storage units in Quebec City, from the initial land acquisition, through construction and daily operations.  Being fluent in French, English and German, he was then able to work on several successful projects in both Europe and North America, showcasing his ability to raise capital, implement solid business models and gain the interest of private and institutional investors.   Mr. Germain has a combined degree in economics and political sciences with specialization in finance and statistics from Laval University.

Mr. Robert Boisjoli, FCPA, FCA, CBV is Chairman of Palos Management, President of Atwater Financial Group, a company specializing in financial advisory work including mergers and acquisitions, and a partner at Robert Boisjoli & Associates S.E.C., a consulting firm specializing in business valuations.  Mr. Boisjoli was the co-founder and CEO of Xanthus Pharmaceuticals, Global SeaFarms Corporation and AKESOgen, Inc. Mr. Boisjoli also sits on the Boards of Directors of both private and publicly traded companies as well as various not-for-profit organizations in the community and within his profession.  He also acts as Chief Financial Officer for Adventure Gold Inc., a Toronto Stock Exchange listed company under the symbol of TSX-V: AGE.  Mr. Boisjoli will also serve on the Company's Audit Committee.

Dr. Sami Chaouch, Ph.D. received his degree in Finance from the University Paris-Dauphine in 1990. Dr. Chaouch was Associate Professor of Finance, at HEC Carthage (Tunisia) and Managing Director of Amen Invest, a Tunisian-based and regulated brokerage firm from 1991 to 1993.  Dr. Chaouch was Business Development Director for Swicorp Investment Bank ( www.swicorp.com ) based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from 1993 to 1994.  Dr. Chaouch obtained several high profile jobs from 1994 through 2009 at locations ranging from Paris and Cairo before becoming an Advisor and M&A head for TQS TV Group in Montreal.  Dr. Chaouch is also a financial advisor, to RMP Fund, a joint venture between Caisse des Dépots, Fonds FTQ and Remstar to invest in movies.

The Board's mandate is to assist the Company with management and guidance, developing strategies for funding, improving capital structure, identifying new opportunities and technical expertise in the development of the Company's businesses. Mr. Boisjoli and Dr. Chaouch will specifically focus on evaluating opportunities on land acquisition, governance decision, corporate financing and introducing the Company to additional institutional investors.
