Tech Data to Manage Fulfillment Services for Xerox Authorized Agents

CLEARWATER, Fla., Aug. 19, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Tech Data Corporation (Nasdaq: TECD ) announced today that its Integrated Supply Chain Services (ISCS) division will manage the fulfillment services for Xerox's authorized agents selling A3 multifunction printers and smaller A4 products.

"This agreement further strengthens our strategic alliance with Xerox and positions Tech Data's ISCS business unit to provide even more value-added logistics services in the future," said Shaun Sinden, vice president, ISCS at Tech Data. "We are committed to delivering best-in-class integrated solutions and a superior customer experience for Xerox and its partners."

Through the agreement, Tech Data's ISCS team will manage several aspects of the Xerox fulfillment services in support of Xerox's indirect sales strategy.

"We understand the power of the channel and aligning with Tech Data will further enhance Xerox's relevance to our agents and strengthen our go-to-market approach for our indirect channels," said Peter Ward, vice president, Global Distribution Operations at Xerox.  "As we look for the most efficient fulfillment services model, Tech Data's expertise in this area will serve us well."

Tech Data's ISCS division goes beyond the capabilities of a traditional third-party logistics (3PL) provider, offering enhanced services and opportunities for partners to simplify, reduce costs, improve customer experience and profitably grow their business. The ISCS division is designed to help channel partners capitalize on the market shifts toward flexible distribution models. In addition to delivering integrated solutions and a superior customer experience, the ISCS division leverages Tech Data's physical, financial and human capital to provide services that deliver value to partners in new commercial relationships. The suite of ISCS services includes consultative solutions, business intelligence, logistics and integration services, order and inventory management—all enabled by Tech Data's investment in a world class IT platform.
