I met Jack 3 times in my 28 years with GE. At dinner one night, I asked, "We all speak of our successes, what was Your greatest dissapointment " he said to all of us at the table (6) "Wow that is a tough question" thinking for a moment....replying "I think it was when they referred to me as Nutron Jack" in the first few years....They did not understand my vision for the company.

For me when I hired on there were 17 layers of management between me and Jack...When he left there were only 4
