I hope you are right. I don't remember it not dipping on a Monday after a prior red Friday.
It would just make the monthly payment lower while allowing for a rise in home prices while the banks get another 10 years of interest.
It's a bad idea.
I doubt it. More like a run up to $4 within the first hour.
Wasn't around and can't PM, but will get bck to you next week. Be cautious and look at the numbers when they come out.
In his/her culture they don't respect elders like we do in the USA

Btw which judge(s) will get Ackman's suit? I haven't had a chance to look into that.

And Does anyone know anything about the judge(s) who will get the Ackman suit? As in, who appointed them, etc? Thanks.
You just have to love Bill Ackman's style. Win or lose, he is as tenacious as they come.
There is an old saying in this country that the apple don't fall far from the tree.

"The greatness of America lies not in being more enlightened than any other nation, but rather in her ability to repair her faults."

Alexis de Tocqueville

Ev'rywhere I hear the sound of marching, charging feet, boy
Cause summer's here and the time is right for fighting in the street, boy
But what can a poor boy do
Except to sing for a rock 'n' roll band
Cause in sleepy London town
There's just no place for a street fighting man
No
Hey! Think the time is right for a palace revolution
But where I live the game to play is compromise solution
Well, then what can a poor boy do
Except to sing for a rock 'n' roll band
'Cause in sleepy London town
There's no place for a street fighting man
No
Hey! Said my name is called disturbance
I'll shout and scream, I'll kill the king, I'll rail at all his servants
Well, what can a poor boy do
Except to sing for a rock 'n' roll band
Cause in sleepy London town
There's no place for a street fighting man
No
Things are getting very interesting now. The heat is getting turned up on old uncle Sam.

Ackman files second lawsuit against U.S. government

Reuters 5 hours ago

(Reuters) - Activist Bill Ackman's Pershing Square Capital Management LP filed its second lawsuit in two days against the U.S. government over bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, court documents show.

Pershing Square, the largest shareholder of both the mortgage companies, said in the complaint that it was told the Fannie and Freddie stockholders no longer have fundamental shareholders rights.

Fannie's and Freddie's conservator, Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA), denied "written demands by Pershing Square to the companies' boards of directors for a books and records inspection", according to the complaint.

In the second lawsuit, Pershing suggests the mortgage companies' dividends being paid to the Treasury should be shared among other common shareholders.

Three retirees who own Fannie Mae stock have joined as plaintiffs of the lawsuit.

In a complaint filed on Thursday with the U.S. Court of Federal Claims in Washington, D.C., Pershing accused the government of violating the Fifth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution by taking private property for public use without just compensation.

Though the lawsuits raise different legal theories and are in different courts, they are both designed to enable Ackman to recoup sums for the depressed value of his Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac shares.

Pershing disclosed last November it had invested close to a half-billion dollars for common share stakes of 9.98 percent in Fannie Mae and 9.77 percent in Freddie Mac.

The alleged illegal "dividend sweep" were under way before this disclosure.

In July 2013, investors such as hedge fund firm Perry Capital LLC and Bruce Berkowitz's Fairholme Capital Management LLC, for example, sued the government over Fannie and Freddie, which were bailed out in September 2008 amid mounting mortgage losses.

Neither the Treasury Department, nor the FHFA were immediately available for a comment.

Jones Day represents Pershing and the three individual shareholders of Fannie and Freddie.

The case is Rafter et al v. Department of the Treasury et al, U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.
Not to be snarky

but if you sold worthless assets to unsuspecting customer in a transaction where you knew the assets were worthless at a price above that... wouldn't that be like committing a "fraud". And if there were perhaps two or more people doing this or allowing this or perpetrating this wouldn't that sort of be a conspiracy to commit fraud. And, just saying if that conspiracy were sort of organized wouldnt' that organized conspiracy to commit fraud be a RICO violation worthy of treble damages? And all sorts of other things?

Now then...

If this organized effort extended to the oppression of the entire entity when in fact the laws state otherwise; in an effort to do or such counter to the laws wouldn't that be a really bad thing, individually, and as a group?

The question is how big is that group and who should be included as to a massive conspiracy to do such harm? Is it so big that it can only be seen from a large vantage point?

Its like digging up a pebble in the back yard. You start by seeing it, uncovering some dirt and revealing a rock. Then that rock as you still can't seem to get it out of the way becomes a "larger rock" and after removing and digging and trying to size up you finally see its actually a boulder and next you go, wow... its now a hill / part of a mountain.

Folks there is a larger brazen scheme to deny us and the public of the benefits of fannie and freddie.

I can't explain it but backing up and taking a bigger view. I see a massive problem of people for some unknown reason conspiring to take our companies.

You are all over this granny )
I hope she is the ba11 buster we all think she is...
