Hey everyone, great move we've got going here.
It looks like shorty is still resisting, just threw 80k .001 below the prevailing ask as someone started buying it. I'll bet my bucks this is you know who.
Found myself wondering, where exactly shortys pain point is, his break even price. Then got to thinking, we could attempt to approximate it using that shortreport data. We could take the short volume for each trading day, and calculate a weighted average of market price (weighted by short volume), for all our history.
It would be rough, because it assumes nothing was ever covered, and it would be an aggregate figure for all shorts lumped together.
I'm still curious though, where exactly they start to cover en masse. If I had to guess it's probably somewhere right in the middle of our historical range, maybe somewhere around .08?
