Made my visit to the Nanotech offices in San Jose today. Jim Rossi was a terrific host. The area has been his home forever and I picked his brain on all kinds of subjects (since I am new). Also met Al Stone. Another GREAT guy. Not hard to see why these folks are successful - they're warm, welcoming and charismatic.
Jim introduced me to a number of employees as we toured. Since I've had some tech manufacturing experience of my own, I was neither elated nor disappointed at the set up of the operation. It was pretty much how I had it mentally pictured. I was very pleased at how upbeat everyone was - they each appeared to be really enjoying what they were doing.
I had no real agenda going in. Simply wanted to check out operations and learn what I could about the company and its operations. Figured I'd be there for no more than 30 minutes and I ended up staying MUCH longer than that. Seeing the NP-1 in person and watching the incredible clarity of the content made for a powerful demonstration and a personal highlight.
No "inside" information to divulge but I left with a great deal of confidence in the company, its staff and my overall investment. In the end, that's what I was most wanting to find!
Happy to have made the effort and am very appreciative of those who made me welcome and comfortable.
