Additionally, while they were forward looking, Mr. Bordynuik told investors he expected to have 2,000 processors all producing 115/bbls per day each and clearing $68/bbl. Those statements by Mr. Bordynuik appeared to be entirely baseless. Investors who trusted Mr. Bordynuik would probably have an airtight case for fraud there as well.
For those who merely like Mr. Bordynuik and trust in his tinkerfarking, go ahead and invest in the hopes he'll eventually make a processor which can create value. Right now he's not there and you have to hope he will eventually be the first one to figure out how to make pyrolysis profitable. Personally I would rather go with someone who is inherently honest if I were to hope that person would crack the code...but to each his own.
