Don't know. We'll just have to sit back and wait to see if one by one, other brokers or clearing firms drop XUII or not. Nobody knows if risk assessment at Scottrade slapped XUII with the trade restriction or if Apex will no longer clear it. But as I said, anytime a major broker slaps a restriction, it might be wise to stay alert because trading restrictions, specifically buy restrictions on a ticker, results in decreased liquidity in the security.
Not a wow at all. Scottrade is always restricting buys on stocks. I'm surprised anyone uses them..they are crap.
This is nothing new with scottrade. I actually had a few tickers that they did this to and they are still trading no problem. Couple of them they restricted 6 months ago so scottrade has their mm they use and apparently they didn't want competition to buy up shares. Anyway we will know more about what XUII has in store soon. Good or bad I'm ready.

Wow.....brokers have begun restricting the purchase of XUII shares you say huh? You know there has been a lot of consolidation in the clearing company biz and Apex Clearing has been buying up other clearing companies, including buying Pension and others. Pretty interesting that Scottrade is restricting XUII buy orders now and Scottrade customers can only sell.. Mainly because Apex Clearing is Scottrades clearing partner. People better hope that a DTC Chill isn't coming because something must have suddenly changed, and it looks like either Apex Clearing has a restriction on XUII now, or risk management at Scottrade have their own reasons for restricting their clients from purchasing XUII. Folks better hope this trade restriction isn't a leading indicator of regulatory action coming soon. Either way, if some people are now restricted from buying, there is less liquidity. Risk managers at Apex or Scottrade are probably wondering about all the suspicious trading activity that I have reported on here. Asking the very same questions.
