For now I give you one instance of shorting. Awhile back a friend and his sister-in-law put in bids for 15 cents a share. This was before the split and they ordered 46,000 shares between them. They were building a wall so NITE could not go lower at the time. Toward the end of the day they were handed 46,000 shorted shares for 15 cents and to prove he could do anything he wanted NITE took it to 10 cents with the next trade.
NO ONE BUYS A STOCK THAT IS GOING DOWN SO THERE WERE NO TRADES FOR THE NEXT 20 DAYS.
You can twist it and you can turn it but they can't get out.
Those shares equate to 230 shares today. Not many but if you had to cover them along with thousands more. ?????
