It first served as a childcare center for Ford United Auto Workers employees' children, and then was purchased by a Daymar College in 2007 and became the school's Fern Valley campus.

Menish and SVN Auction Services were hired by Daymar College to conduct the sealed bid auction and deliver a buyer in a time-defined manner rather than sell through private treaty in a traditional listing. The Fern Valley Campus will be the second campus auctioned off by Menish in eight months; the first sold in February.
