Let's play a little game of estimation. In that McComas FB picture it looked like about 5 gallons of oil spurting out in the fraction of a second it took to snap the photo. I'll assume that was the initial pop and that conservatively this will translate into 5 gallons a minute. At 5 gallons a minute for 60 minutes for 24 hours that's 7,200 gallons of oil. There are 42 gallons of oil per barrel so that gives us 171 bpd.
WTI spot is 86.15 right now so that's $14,731.65/day, or about $4.4 million annualized on a 330 day a year production schedule.
Anyone else want to take a shot on guessing the BPD from this well? We get the answer probably next week I bet.
