MARLTON, N.J. and MUSCAT, Oman, Aug. 7, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Hill International (NYSE: HIL ), the global leader in managing construction risk, announced today that it has received a contract from the Ministry of Transportation and Communications of the Sultanate of Oman to provide project management services in connection with the construction of Sections 1 and 2 of the Bidbid Sur Road in Oman. The three-year contract has an estimated value to Hill of approximately RO 1.5 million ($4.0 million).
The RO 432 million ($1.1 billion) project includes nine interchanges, two underpasses, two overpasses, associated retaining wall structures and approximately 171 reinforced concrete culverts. The 247-kilometer (154-mile), six-lane highway will connect the cities of Bidbid and Sur.
