INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., Aug. 6, 2014, EDT (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Navient, the nation's leading loan management, servicing and asset recovery company, will partner with Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity on Friday, Aug. 8, to help a family in need of quality, affordable housing. Together with Fox59 WXIN and Marion University, Navient and Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity will construct and raise the walls of the four-bedroom Morsal family home in just five hours.
"Navient is once again proud to partner with Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity," said Gail Thomas-Shearon, Navient employee coordinator for the event. "We're excited to get to work to help a local family in need and give back to our community."
Alongside the future homeowners of the Habitat project, more than 45 Navient volunteers will construct the frame of their home at the Fox59 Studios, 6910 Network Place in Indianapolis from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. EDT.
Navient and its employees generously donate their time and resources to the community. This is the fifth year employees have volunteered with the Greater Indy Habitat to build a home for a local family.
