e.g., if rent from 1st cite, rent canon t4i for 40 for 1 week

Tamron 28-300mm f/3.5-6.3 XR Di VC LD II Aspherical IF Macro for Canon for $46
plus a teleconverter? comes w uv filter which will protect the lens
but thats expensive for just 1 week- ca 1/12 of the purchase price new-- local rental centers might be better price?
the camera world w all the new choices has become difficult for the average person to intelligently navigate -sometimes i think confusion is the goal- even full-time tech geeks cant keep w all the new tech outside the camera world
btw all the dslr cameras I've mentioned have HD video capability also-usu 1/2 hour at a time- so dont need to buy a camcorder
