2013 Fraud and Abuse in Classifieds: Sites Battle for Safety, Security Using Both Man and Machine
M2 - Fri Sep 20, 8:25AM CDT
Research and Markets (http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/nrmdq5/2013_fraud_and) has announced the addition of the "2013 Fraud and Abuse in Classifieds: Sites Battle for Safety, Security Using Both Man and Machine" report to their offering. Hack attacks such as the Nigerian scam and the Craigslist / Gumtree / Kijiji killer incidents have put classifieds customers in jeopardy. Buying and selling has gotten a bit trickier - and much scarier - and it's still in its infancy. In a new 80-page, special edition of Classified Intelligence Report, the AIM Group profiles more than 40 classified advertising companies in almost 20 countries around the world. The report explores the sensitive subject of safety and security for classified advertising sites and innovative ways to mitigate fraud and abuse from and for buyers and sellers. The experts shared what they are doing to fight fraud and abuse. We asked what problems they've had; the technologies and techniques they use to fight fraud and abuse; the staffing and resources they allocate, and the results. Although many classified companies claimed they were doing everything they could to fight fraud and abuse, this report provides new tools, new vendors, new techniques, and new services to offer advertisers and users to help them stay safe and secure when they use classified sites. One key finding: Technology can't eliminate fraudulent and abusive ads. Neither can human review. But you can substantially curtail fraud and abuse with a combination of technology, human review and a significant, sustained effort. The report demonstrates various approaches to fraud and abuse mitigation being done by the largest - and smallest - online companies around the world. Key Topics Covered: Executive summary Contents Overview Europe Overview U.S. Gaming as a fraud-fighting tool Vendors provide varying options Europe - Schibsted - Segundamano - Milanuncios - Italy - Mobile.de - Kalaydo.de Eastern Europe - Allegro - Inform - Okazii - Autozone Africa - Africa overview - Junk Mail United States - Zillow - Real estate - Autos Asia - India - Alibaba 62 Companies Mentioned - AdPay - Adzuna - Air BnB - Alibaba - Allegro - AutoTrader - Autozone - Backpage - Besedo - Bol.com - Craigslist - Digital Envoy - HomeGate.ch - Immobilienscout24.de - Inform - Iovation - JunkMail - Kalayado.de - Markt.de - Milanuncios - Mobile.de - Ninja Metrics - Okazii - Schibsted - Segundamano - SiteBlackBox - WeGoLook - Zillow For more information visit http://www.researchandmarkets.com/research/nr..._fraud_and
