Got to disagree with you on this one BUMPERCARS.  If Hoofman was truly intelligent, he wouldn't have misspelled Jeff Reid's name in his phony email or waited so long to state it was fake.

He can make the claim that he misspelled it on purpose but that argument is dispelled by all that work to make it look real and the length of time it took him to say it was a phony.   He should have realized that what he was doing was illegal and placed a disclaimer at the bottom of the post stating it was a fake.  Acting like you're the CEO and trying to deceive people isn't funny when hard earned dollars are at stake.  Now, he's left himself open to a lawsuit from JR or other sources including shareholders who see him trying to manipulate the share price downward.  A truly foolish post that may come back and bit him in the azz.
