Some people prefer to be honest and acknowledged they've been scammed by a stock after realizing this has happened.
Others think it preferable that the victim should continue to lie to himself and others after realizing the stock is a scam, and pretend that everything is hunky-dory.
It's hard to understand the mentality of a person who believes the second approach is better than the first.
