(Nasdaq:RARE), a biopharmaceutical company focused on the development of novel products for rare and ultra-rare diseases, today announced the closing of its public offering of 2,319,951 shares of common stock at a price to the public of $40.00 per share, which includes the exercise in full by the underwriters of their option to purchase up to 302,602 additional shares of common stock. Ultragenyx is selling 1,613,879 shares of its common stock in this offering and certain selling stockholders are selling 706,072 shares of common stock in this offering. Ultragenyx is not receiving any proceeds from the sale of any shares sold by the selling stockholders. Ultragenyx estimates net proceeds from the offering to be approximately $60.2 million, after deducting underwriting discounts and commissions and estimated offering expenses.

Ultragenyx is selling 1,311,277 shares of its common stock in this offering, and certain selling stockholders are selling 706,072 shares of common stock in this offering. Ultragenyx will not receive any proceeds from the sale of any shares sold by the selling stockholders.
