Cheryl, I just finished watching your video diary on youtube, it's incredible! Great video! And it is so powerful that you right there in the middle of all of the jubilation capturing it all on video, history in the making! It was quite illuminating to see how big the movement really is. It is important for people to realize how HUGE this legalization vote really was and how HUGE was the victory!
The Colorado victory is just the beginning and I think it will pave the way for other states to legalize cannabis over the years. It will take time IMO but as for many other social changes in history, the populus tends to vote based on their acceptance of certain matters based on their perception of how the rest of society perceives about the particular issue and I think once the states begin to allow it, the perception of MJ will change and so a greater and greater number of individuals will feel comfortable voting to change the laws. I think of it as having a snowball effect. I think the populus is finally fed up and had it up to here with crony politicians legislating taste and what they think is moral via their own doctrinated approach to civil law as well as implementing only those laws which are backed by big money. The people are sick and tired of the government arresting and imprisoning thousands of citizens every year via possession of a natural plant which has never been proven to be addictive or the cause of deaths via drunk driving, etc. I think the video really shows what it takes behind the scenes to get organized enough to actually make things happen in reality and YOU are a BIG part of that! The key really is the psychological perception prevalent in society and changing it to allow a broader range of opinions and I think it is obvious because of the victory in CO that CHERYL SHUMAN was a major piece in that puzzle, in changing the common perception of MJ so it is not viewed in such a bad light. You should feel so proud, and honored!
