One thing to remember about dead-head logging in North America-probably all you need is a boat, a couple of guys to get the logs to shore. No foreign government crap like ANAM permits or Kuna tribes. Just get the state's OK and have at it. This should be a piece of cake compared to logging in Panama. Of course the wood won't bring the same price as say Rosewood, but some good cedar or other hardwood still is valuable. 2 man crews are already doing it in places-google river underwater logging.
