EVANSVILLE, Ind., Aug. 1, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Accuride Corporation (NYSE: ACW ) – a leading supplier of components to the North American commercial vehicle industry – today announced that two of its wheel-production facilities have received the Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) "Masters of Quality" Supplier Award for 2013. Accuride's Camden Operations aluminum wheel plant in Camden, S.C., and Accuride de Mexico steel and aluminum wheel plant in Monterrey, Mexico, both received the award for their performance in 2013. This is the third time that Accuride de Mexico has received the award, and the first year for the Camden plant.
The annual program – now in its 27th year – recognizes outstanding suppliers that have received high scores on their quality, delivery, technology and cost performance as measured on a Balanced Scorecard. These suppliers demonstrate an ongoing commitment to continuously improving the quality of their products and overall performance of their businesses.

Accuride de Mexico's 226,000 square-foot facility in Monterrey produces steel wheels for both Freightliner truck and Daimler bus brands. It serves DTNA's Saltillo and Santiago, Mexico, facilities, and the Daimler bus plant in Monterrey. Accuride's Camden plant, which the Company significantly upgraded upon acquiring it in June 2011, provides aluminum wheels to DTNA U.S. plants for Freightliner and Freightliner Custom Chassis applications.
These plants' recognition underscores Accuride's extended relationship with DTNA as a dependable supplier of high-quality steel and aluminum wheels and wheel-end components.
