The reports from USDA/AOAC and NAMSA are endorsements an sich.(see lower)

mmtc has no current contract with OSIS or anyone else
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yes, they do. 5 year contract . Altough they already announced in 2010 they contracted OSIS for the manufacturing, later on they stopped using the name OSIS in their Pr's as OSIS -by default- doesnt reveal and doesnt want to reveal much about companies they are working out something together with.

And from who you think was received the pre-prod MIT1000 unit end december....
Hint : the PR of the pre-prod MIT 1000 unit mentioned OSIS....

no one has seen a complete test given on mit 1000
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NAMSA, AOAC and USDA beg to differ seen their succesful reports !
HERE IS THE USDA/AOAC (1) FULL REPORT ON THE MIT 1000, PUBLISHED, BY THE WAY, IN THE JOURNAL OF AOAC INTERNATIONAL VOL. 93, NO. 1, 2010
MIT 1000 passed rigorous testing at USDA for AOAC with 99% accuracy.
http://ddr.nal.usda.gov/bitstream/10113/41910...365309.pdf
“A total of 81 blind qualitative microbial identification performance tests were done in accordance with the test protocol found in Section 3.5. Fifty-five were performed at the MIT laboratory and 26 at the USDA ARS (independent laboratory). One false positive and no false negatives were recorded, resulting in 80 of 81 tests being correctly identified for a total score of 99%.”
HERE IS THE NAMSA (2) FULL REPORT ON THE MIT 1000
http://www.micro-imaging.com/pdf/MITNAMSAFina...ogies).pdf
"The MIT system performed 50 tests, 10 specimens for each of the five bacterial species, and had 49 correct identifications (98 percent correct). Average time for sample preparation was approximately one minute and the average test time was about 3 minutes."
(1) USDA and AOAC need no further introductions
(2) North American Science Associates, Inc. (“NAMSA”), for over 35 years, has been one of the world's leading independent laboratories specializing in the safety evaluation of medical devices.

mmtc said to be be marginal in USDA synopsis
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The word "marginal" is nowhere used and probably you are referring again to the outdated 2008 USDA report
While this one is the actual and current story of the USDA/AOAC :

I challenge you to find the word "marginal"

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LOL ,that was in the outdated 2008 article.
Current article (2010)illustrates development finished , tests done by USDA, resulted in the AOAC certificate

Evaluation of the MIT RMID 1000 System for the Identification of Listeria Species
JOURNAL OF AOAC INTERNATIONAL VOL. 93, NO. 1, 2010
Abstract
This report discusses the tests performed, results achieved, and conclusions, along with
several reference documents to enable a higher understanding of the technology used by the MIT 1000 System.
2.3 Summary of Results
The test protocol required a total of 81 blind tests: 55 were performed by the MIT laboratory and 26 by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Agricultural Research Service
(USDA ARS) laboratory. Eighty of 81 tests were correctly identified, yielding a score of 99%.
7 Conclusions
The PTM blind test score of 99% indicates that the MIT 1000 RMID System can accurately identify Listeria and distinguish it from other bacteria. We recommend (=USDA) that this method be approved by AOAC RI.
Above led to AOAC issuing this cerfificate:

mmtc did not attend AOAC show in Vegas
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So what ? Big deal. They have the Listeria cert issued by AOAC. Does all companies that ever did get a cert from AOAC need to attend ?
They did showcase the MIT 1000 at the International Association for Food Protection Annual Meeting end of July this year.
And they will Present the MIT 1000 at the International Conference for Food Safety and Quality in Chicago on 13-14 November next week.
