A CEO's bias, arguably his fiduciary duty, is to keep investors informed of progress, to be proud and excited and sharing about developments as they happen, all the more important if the company is relying heavily on dilution to raise needed funds so the PPS stays as high as possible. In the absence of this it causes one to wonder. Is there nothing of import to report, reflective badly on the company's ability to meet any or all of its mission? Or are there good things happening but announcements must be with held pending closure, which we all know can be delayed (witness the 2TRG episode). This would explain why a major milestone in the offing, e.g venture capital deal, merger, acquisition, big contract, might be kept private, but silence is less defensible when absolutely none of many, less significant but still important concurrent pieces are not reported on as time passes. It gives the clear impression nothing is happening, driving the PPS down by giving stock manipulators a free hand. It's self defeating.

So as we ponder Q2 for EWSI we are left with the hope a large "milestone" is forthcoming. A game changer. And that an explanation for 2014's absence of updates, on both small and large growth components, will be given in the next Shareholders Letter. Perhaps every component of EWSI's strategy has been delayed. So why not be forthcoming and say that. It happens. EWSI has exhausted its credibility. Mere words in interviews will no longer have believability. In short, Marty is out of time. The capital he built late 2013 through lofty words is gone.

IMO there is no defensible excuse for the lack of updates during Q1 and Q2. That damage is done, that goodwill lost. Nothing concrete has been announced on any front. Which puts huge pressure on what will be announced come mid-August if the current trend is to be reversed.

My fear, based on what has transpired so far this year, is that Q2 will be defined only as "another Q of record revenue" which will be paultry enough of an announcement to have no positive effect. Loyal longs will continue to say "next week, "next month", "next quarter". Manipulators will continue having a field day. No clear better mousetrap for the fragmented, competitive ewaste industry will be given, no next generation equipment to leap frog them over the top. Remember, EWSI's main thrust has been to say they are a consulting firm. Sharing state-of-the-art advice and know-how around the globe to help others distinguish themselves and make money, and taking a cut for their help. But the website has remained hopelessly vague, never delineated any specific ways they will do this. And they don't, as of this time, have the manpower to execute on a big enough scale even if they did.

Smoke and mirrors is becoming increasingly evident. Where's the beef? I feel now that EWSI is merely withering on the vine. Marty's inability to put together the mission he espoused due to mistakes, unrealized deals, and overstatements is now abundantly clear. He apparently ain't the guy we thought could make it happen!
