I can see that. You're impressed with the props so the logic doesn't matter to you. Props are what get investors throwing their money at scams with fervor because they reason that nobody would build a machine if it was a scam. The swindler's solution: Build something that looks like they're trying. A simple pyrolysis machine and no investor is the wiser whether what comes out is crude oil or just worthless pyrolysis oil.
Mr. Bordynuik is following the same procedure as the dirt pile scams of yesteryear. Those dirt pile swindlers pretended to have a gold mine, got investors to invest, bought equipment and paid themselves handsomely while trying to get investors to keep investing. Once the money ran dry, they told investors that it just didn't pan out and went on their merry way.
