( Konica Minolta ) today announces that Buyers Laboratory LLC ( BLI ) has awarded Konica Minolta six 2014 Summer Picks for its bizhub series of multifunctional peripherals (MFP) and its PageScope mobile application.
The Company has been awarded three Summer Picks in the A3 monochrome category, two Summer Picks in the A4 monochrome category, and one pick in the mobile print application category.
The award-winning products and the reasons for their selection are:
- A3 Monochrome MFP : bizhub 754e, bizhub 654e, bizhub 454e
According to BLI, all three models were easy to use, "featuring an extremely well-designed control panel that gives users a choice of three easily accessible interfaces and supports dragging and dropping, pinch-to-zoom and the ability to rotate pages in a scan preview using multi-touch controls. Also contributing to ease of use is the MyTab feature in the print drivers, which allows users to configure a tab with their own frequently used features." The models were further praised by BLI for their print quality, with all three earning excellent or very good ratings in all categories evaluated.
- A4 Monochrome MFP : bizhub 4750, bizhub 4050
According to BLI, both bizhub models deliver an outstanding value because of "flawless reliability, intuitive design, simple maintenance and integration with time- and money-saving solutions, combined with their low cost of ownership. Additionally, both models demonstrated impressive print quality, scoring very good to excellent ratings in nearly every category evaluated."
- PageScope Mobile (iOS for iPhone/iPad, Android mobile application)
According to BLI, "for the increasingly prevalent use of mobile devices in the office, PageScope Mobile offers a robust feature set, including a wide range of settings for printing and scanning and other useful functions, and security is outstanding."
PageScope Mobile is a downloadable application that connects a bizhub MFP with mobile devices, allowing users to browse, read, scan and print select documents and images. The free app offers a plethora of print settings and includes a range of security features that help protect company data, such as secure print release and user authentication.
