9:09 AM Gold Fields ( GFI ) says employees returned to work at its KDC East Mine to resume production after a 23-day strike. All three of GFI's operating mines in South Africa are now back in production. GFI had dismissed 8,100 employees for participation in the strike, but most were reinstated after a deal with the National Union of Mineworkers. GFI +0.7% premarket.
