Update from those in-the-know: Certification lo
Post# of 41413
Certification looking like mid-September. The mini evac will immediately follow the airshow, and Kalitta just finished some paperwork to sign off on the plane's maintenance completion. My guess is next week we'll get some news that it's airworthy.
The plane will be at the airshow. They can't announce it until the maintenance is done, otherwise they'd be saying that their plane that hasn't been proven to be airworthy, technically, will be at an airshow. You can all imagine why that'd be foolish for them to do.
The company is in the process of hiring a professional PR firm (one that's quite experienced, from what I hear). Simulator training should be done soon as well.
My estimated timeline of events for the next 6 weeks:
Next week: PR about plane being air-worthy; possible PR about plane being at the airshow.
Week of August 4th: if no PR previous week about plane being at airshow, it'll be out this week; possible PR about pilot simulator training being completed (although I'm not too sure what the status of this is)
Week of August 11th: mini evac completion PR, with possible PR stating formally that they've entered Phase III of certification (really hoping to see this, it'd be HUGEEEEEEEEE)
Week of August 18th: news of ticket sales and/or advertisement; news of tabletop exercise being completed (if not this week, then the following week)
Week of August 25th: possible PR about ticket sales updates or advertisements, at this point the cat's out of the bag and they can advertise as an airline, so anything is theoretically possible
.........
Jump to Week of September 15: PR stating certification achieved, possible PR about certification being sent to Russia for their processing, etc...
There really is a lot to look forward to. I don't know why they went silent the past two weeks, it was a real climax-killer, but there's so much news for them to release. At this price, which I did not expect to see ever again when we'd reached 3.8 just a few weeks ago, I'd be buying every last share I could if I didn't already have my entire portfolio in Baltia (all $100K principal, in addition to two PP certificates). So - be excited. Be happy. Think of the long-term success we're about to witness with this airline. It's such a freak thing to see a pennystock airline that's LEGITIMATE, and actually committed to financial success. In the world of scams in both the OTC and NYSE, this is a one-hit-wonder.
Yes, they fuck up quite frequently, but when they need to get shit done, they get it done. A poorly written PR now won't mean a damn thing when they're certified. I'm going to be on the edge of my chair for the next 7 weeks....
