Well you asked for news....you got it!!
And some kind of news indeed. Thanks to Melanie for pointing out the kendall-jackson connection. I posted an article earlier that said even Jackson Family Wines understands its multiple name changes is confusing.....so on that note...
Wow. Huge huge huge deal. First off it's 3 MW. That's a big project any way you look at it...even if it is spread across a couple properties.
Next...
Jackson Family Wines is a huge company. Did I say that enough? This is a multi "billion" dollar company. One that wreaks of high class... prestige... wealth...... and money.
If Nelson is trying to build a billion dollar company this is the first real piece of the puzzle. Doing business with companies of this caliber is how you get to that level. And not just selling them small potatoes like last years 300kw array but to ink a follow on deal worth millions!! Suddenly "world class" really rings true. Just think of all the world class visibility this will garner when people of wealth visit the winery and ask about the solar array...
And when this installation is complete in just 3-4 short months, Jackson Family Wines may have yet another follow on deal for their new properties in the coming months or years.
This deal is really well played. Increased name recognition and brand building while garnering market share in industries that are vying to be as green and cliché as solar itself.... Dairy?!?! New homes?!?! Vineyard's!?!? What's next?!?!
This is going to be interesting, seeing where this takes us next. The fact that wealth and money this deeply rooted in the wine industry is suddenly going to be seeing and hearing about this solar company, the brand, the technology (given its produced in the near future).
Connections are everything...who you know...investors...
They might not stampede to Jim's office tomorrow morning but this could be the match that lights the fuse. Time will tell...glta!
