I just reread the Shareholders Letter someone posted today on IHUB. I must say that there is no logical connection between the optimism expressed in that document and what's been happening, e.g. absolutely no updates from the company on the progress of any of the bullet points mentioned, no updates on the progress of the steps to success now underway. Nothing encouraging, and I don't mean revenue. We all know that's not here yet. I mean realistic progress reports that don't have to promise the sky or commit too early to things that shouldn't be made public. I mean just simple explanations to us to show we're moving forward as planned: India's on track, Net Suite almost installed, Cinci doing so well, lawsuit over and done with, better explanation of who the hell TNKE is, and NY doing well and gaining momentum, etc.
Yes this is a development year, slow revenue, many pieces hopefully soon coming together. We get that. But how about some communication? Some facts, enthusiasm, some excitement about where they're going from Marty and management (if there is any management)?
Silent period my ass! That's a piss poor excuse in the face of where we are! Now to further insult us a downlisting without a mention from anyone (Oh great we now have L2 Marty must have let it happen just for that benefit). Longs deserting the ship and bad tastes in everyone's mouth. Credibility nearly evaporated. PPS hitting lows each week. And still not a word! Do you all think this is even close to how to run an airline?
Marty's made strategic errors, over-hyped relationships and partnerships that haven't panned out, and now doesn't see fit to even in any way bolster the spirits of the many who have stayed loyal. I guess he knows he's about to announce such terrific news that all the longs and newbies will come rushing back so why bother with IR. Well maybe so, but that still makes him an insensitive, pompous schmuck in my book!
