Mariner’s Choice International prepares for a name and symbol change – The Company to become more relevant to its evolving business opportunities and growth strategy
Jacksonville, Fla. – February 6, 2012 – Mariner’s Choice International, Inc. (OTC Pink Sheets: MCII), a North American manufacturer and marketer of an extensive line of ecologically-safe products for the marine and other industry segments, today announced that it is preparing for a name and symbol change.
Amie Hingston, President & CEO stated, “Our business focus has been evolving over the past few years from what the business was originally based on. While the high performing ecologically safe products under the “Mariner’s Choice” brand still hold up and offer potential and promise, it’s proven to be a tediously long and a slow-climbing process. Fortunately, our journey has taken us to other areas, such as environmental remediation, where the opportunities for significant growth exist. For this reason, we believe that the name of the company should be more relevant and reflective of the broader scope of our capabilities.”
Hingston further stated, “To that end, we are taking steps to finalize the registration of the new name and trading symbol. Announcements will be made in due course.”
In the meantime, the Company continues to broaden its scope in the environmental sector and is forming an alliance with a number of international companies and organizations. Through these cooperative efforts, each will benefit by expanding its network and reach. More details will be forthcoming, as the relationships are further defined and the move-forward plans are executed.
