UPDATE ON SELFHELPCENTERS.COM (How we got here and where we are now) .... We are very close to finishing SHC.
This is a passion of mine and was the thing that really launched my interested into starting an internet based business about 9 years ago. My love for these kinds of programs started well before this. When I was very young my father would buy books and records (long time ago) by these g ... reat motivational speakers and authors like Napoleon Hill, Earl Nightingale and Zig Ziglar. Somehow I gravitated to them and they helped to mold who I am. My desire to share what I learned was what started a business which I called "The Reason for my Success". Using fax machines I became a large seller of these tape programs. This led to Mark Victor Hansen and I recording "The World's Most Powerful Marketing Tool" in which we told the story how I took scrap fax machines and built a mini Self Help empire.
It's interesting that just 9 years ago tech was not in a place that allowed us to deliver video and processor connection speeds, though revolutionary, where by today's standards mid-evil. I launched the SelfHelpCenters website and just like with the fax machines the concept worked. I ran it until 2005 when IC Places popped into my head and took over my time.
Here we are now and I'm going through the final tweaks of the site. I'm going to give our programers in India a few extra days and on Monday the 25th I'm going to open the site to the public. We will begin adding speakers and authors. Being the tradition entrepreneur I am, (kidding) I am not going to wait till have a 100 speakers to open the doors. I'm going to let everyone see our progress from day one. You will see the first speakers as they join us and the growth from day one of the relaunch. I'm excited to let everyone experience the growth form day one. That's what entrepreneurship is all about. That first step, that first sale. I'm excited to be able to share it with all of you in this rebirth of a great idea.
