My guess is that the vials are made of high quality glass to minimize optical aberration. There is a function in the program that reads "check vial" if there is unacceptable aberration ie. a scratch that impedes detection. Each new kit is supplied with 10 vials; they ordered 10,000 vials in july. Does this mean they are expecting a production run of 1000 units?
