Is Kevetrin something our development team came up

Is Kevetrin something our development team came up with or a compound that had been developed but for other than medical reasons and Dr Menon was just smart enough to realize it could be used for medicine? Also, if it was already known did our development team modify it in any way? Seems hard to believe someone else developed it and our patent was simply for it's use in medicine. Also, how could the developer not realize it could be used for medicine? They must be kicking themselves in the butt if they let it slip away for all medical uses.
What is it about Kevetrin that makes it so adaptable to be used as a platform for use with other items such as Pfizer inhibitors in the test being run overseas?
Same questions about Prurisol since it's main ingredient seems to have already been OK'd by the FDA prior to Prurisol being developed.
