The second Nat Geo Journalist, a female, was to interview the fisherman’s wife. She met the wife at the Department of Family Affairs, where she was having an interview with a family planning specialist.
The last question posed to Mrs. Dwyer was ‘are you sexually active?’
To which she answered, ‘Well, mostly I just lies there.’
Mrs. Dwyer and the journalist left to visit her home, across the way in St Johns.
They were greeted by her seven strapping sons.
‘Boys, this here is Miss Jones and she come to interview me!’
‘Miss Jones, meet John’
Miss Jones shook the first lads’ hand, and then moved down the line. ‘And your name is?’
‘John’, said the second boy with a huge grin. And so it went down the line, John after John.
‘Now run along and do your chores boys’ Mrs. Dwyer shushed them away.
‘Mrs. Dwyer, all Johns?’
‘Yes dearie, it’s just so much easier this way. When I want them up to do their chores, I just yells JOHN. When I want them in for dinner, JOHN’
‘What if you just want one in particular?’ queried Miss Jones.
‘Well, then I use their last names’
