As for ticket sales: At the last shareholder meeting, I sat right in front of the podium - 1st seat - and when the meeting was over, I insisted everyone stay and that Igor allow us a Q&A (I know, who would believe that I would have the balls to do that?)
Basically, the question about ticket sales came up. Igor stated that at about 30 to 45 days before the FAA is going to issue the certificate - which pretty much corresponds to the entrance into Phase III (in my own assessment), that Baltia can go to the DOT and tell them where they are at in the process (obviously they will know this anyway from the FAA) and request that they be given the right to begin selling tickets.
The proceeds from those ticket sales WILLL BE HELD IN ESCROW (at the DOT?) until the day that the FAA actually issues the certificate - then the $ will be turned over to Baltia.
The concept is that all parties realize that you can't give a certificate and expect the new airline to fill its plane with passengers the very next day - you have to give them a reasonable amount of time to actually make the public aware of the airline so that people will buy tickets to fill up those planes.
So, for me, the entrance into Phase III is the biggest - by far -milestone that Baltia will encounter to date. Phase III marks ticket sales - but much more important - ADVERTISING! - and it is really the first introduction of Baltia to the world.
On top of that, I believe that the entrance into Phase III is deliberately being planned for right before the airshow - making that first part of August "the perfect storm" for Baltia to make its existence known!
I can't even fathom what all of this coming together in the beginning of August is going to do to the stock price. I just think it is going to be explosive - for lack of a better word.
Based on the above scenario, and since Phase III moves VERY quickly (the 50 to 100 hours of proving flight are done practically back to back, to simulate what happens in the real world with a passenger jet - which practically spends more time in the air than it does on the ground!), the general belief is that Baltia will get its certificate sometime in September (I myself figure mid to late September).
Once certified, Baltia has to wait for the Russians to sign off on the rest of the paperwork (they won't do this until they see the actual certificate from the FAA) - but all the preliminary work has been done (obviously, they know we are coming) and the final paperwork should only take about 30 to 45 days.
Keep in mind that along with the FAA certificate, Baltia gets the right to do charter flights anywhere in the world, so Baltia could be flying professional athletes, musicians, sports teams, or just filthy rich people as charter flights while they wait for the Russian seal of approval.
Further, I truly believe that seal of approval will come quickly, as the Russians just recently completed a 3 billion dollar make-over of Pulkovo airport and they are anxious to start recouping some of that money.
Does any of that sound reasonable, logical, and plausible?
