You know I really like you Bells and I mean no disrespect, but I’m beginning to wonder if someone has you locked away in an attic with no communication with the outside world. If you can somehow send me your address, I will smuggle newspapers to you. In truth, on the Fourth of July 238 years ago, the Founding Fathers declared their independence from the world's greatest empire. They founded a nation based upon the truly revolutionary idea that government should rule based on the consent of the governed. (The prevailing system at the time was that God ordained monarchs to rule the people - a notion most of us would now consider quaint.) Unfortunately, our government has become a huge cesspool of corruption. From top to bottom are people who are serving not The People but their own self interests. I personally am a Libertarian and believe in my START OVER plan. I envision shutting down the entire circus, sending all of the monkeys home and starting from scratch. As Thomas Paine said, “The duty of a patriot is to protect his country from its government.” You have to be in a coma to believe that our government officials act only in accordance with our laws and only with integrity and honesty.
