I second this thought ! IMHO… I think the crap that goes on over on LieHub is disgusting (and illegal). That board doesn’t deserve to be allowed on the web. Free speech is important, but the censored speech over there is… in my opinion, illegal. There are laws in place that prevent the manipulation of securities, and what they do over there is pure manipulation by censoring some speech but not other speech. Paid pumpers must disclose the conflict, however LieHub is allowed to masquerade as impartial, all the while having a blatant bias against ICPA (and perhaps other stocks as well).
LieHub makes money every time you visit the site (via traffic views for advertisers), and likely makes even more money every time you respond to one or more of the basher’s posts. So, in fact, by visiting and responding over there, you are perpetuating the very activity you likely despise. I recommend you not even visit the site. And if you have no self control, at least resist the urge to post rebuttals, as they will likely get deleted anyway, and/or be used to perpetuate additional funding for the site and the basher you are responding to. YOUR actions (more precisely your INaction of not visiting or posting) CAN make a difference. Less traffic means less revenue for them, and less rebuttals means they will have nothing to rebut except their own unsubstantiated and slanderous posts.
I understand, and am conflicted by, the fact that if someone does not post positive info over there, there may be some that visit there first and get the wrong impression about the company. However… I think any prudent investor will not simply take what they read on that board and think that is the only place to get information about the company. IF.. any investor reads that board’s information only, and makes a decision not to invest in the company… then maybe they are not the type of investor the company needs anyway. Prudent investors will look in multiple places for information when doing their DD. Some very simple searches elsewhere will yield a wealth of good information on the company.
I practice what I preach. I do not visit the site, and thereby do not respond to the trash they post. I also take every opportunity to spread the word about my thoughts on that site. (I also lead a less frustrated life not having to read the slanderous trash they post).
Also, I see a lot of traffic on THIS board about LieHub. For me, one of the reasons I follow this board is to get away from the trash that is posted over on LieHub… and lately I see more about LieHub on this board than I care to see. I assume others may feel the same way I do. I came here to get away from that crap, and if this board is becoming fixated on LieHub, there will really be no difference between the two.
Sorry if my thoughts and opinions seem harsh, however anyone who visits that site, and/or posts over there… really is... feeding the enemy. Ignore them and they WILL go away.
