Here's something to really blow your mind. Denmark has natural gas reserves off their coast. They actually export natural gas...but also realize they have a diminishing supply. This one is a first...at least to me....and just blew me away:

Danish municipality approves country's first shale gas drilling licence

Denmark has considerable sources of oil and natural gas in the North Sea and ranks as number 32 in the world among net exporters of crude oil. At the same time, the small Scandinavian country is known to be one of the most environment-friendly countries in the world, with wind energy counting for 30% of the electricity demand and the country expects to be fully independent from fossil fuels by 2050.

Dong opts for gas-to-biomass conversion

DENMARK: Work at the energy company’s CHP plant in central Jutland will start in September

Dong Energy has announced it is going to turn its gas-fired CHP Skærbæk Power Station in Denmark, central Jutland, into a biomass-fired facility.

The decision is part of the energy company’s plan to produce 50% of its electricity from biomass by 2020. District heating supplier TVIS, which is financing the bulk of the project, is also keen to get more renewably produced heat.

According to a Dong Energy spokesman, this is the first time the company is involved in a gas-to-biomass conversion project.

It's not a free art....hence the cache. They have been looking to do this for a few years..were waiting. In my opinion..."WOW!".
