FAA currency is 90 days. For aircraft such as the B747, an "approved" simulator (the one they are using) can establish and maintain currency. I have read from someone on this board that "certification currency" is good for 120 days, but it is important to note that I have NOT found a reference for that, nor have I heard it anywhere other than here. Although my aviation career is in its infancy compared to Old & Wise's trading career, I have never heard of an exception to the 90 day rule (other than military services that are more restrictive with 60 day currency).
