You can lead a horse to water but you can't make them drink?

Guess you haven't heard about the 2 Texas Aggies who, for a class on Colloquial Axioms, set out to prove you COULD lead a horse to water  and make him drink.

Their plan was to take a horse to a pond and while one forced the horse's head into the water the other would raise the horse's tail and suck as hard as he could, thus, as their thinking went, force water into the horse's mouth.

Seeing that they were serious, the professor said the whole class could go to the pond to witness the experiment.  These two idiots were always interrupting his class and he wanted to pay them back by letting all their fellow students watch their ridiculous experiment.

Well they got to the pond, one took the horse around the neck and when he plunged his head in the water his buddy raised the tail and sucked as hard as he could.  Soon the one on the back end yanked his head out from under the tail and screamed at his buddy "Raise his head, raise his head, we're hitting mud, we're hitting mud"!!

It's a stupid story but it cracks me up.  For those not from Texas, the Aggies are Texas A & M and they are the butt of many jokes in these parts (though in reality A & M is one fine university and the students/grads take the jokes with a lot of class).
