I think google just wants to get into 4K and streaming
The whole thing about 4k now is that there is not enough content yet.
Ntek is really the only set up where you can get a very reasonably priced full package.
(A 55 or 65 inch 4k seiki is now cheaper then a 1080 p in most cases) Simply add the Np-1 and BANG YOU HAVE A TV SET UP TJAT COSTS OTHERS THOUSANDS MORE!
SO PEOPLE CAN AFFORD TO TRY A SEIKI AND NP-1.
Then the real money starts for google and Ntek.
Were talking about streaming 4k and 3d without glasses. 4K content is the future of Television.
But also the future of gaming and computer screens.
Google wants a foot in the door. The Np-1 allows them to sell all of their content by making th e Google play store available!
And Hd movies now aee a few more dollars then non Hd on demand and streaming!
I always order the HD and will gladly pay more if it costs more to watch 4k or 3d.
We have some serious content, advertising, acessories and revenue coming in! And it should continue to grow every quarter as more and more people get 4k. That means more and more 4k and 3d content being produced!
