With my own business I know have been by advised by lawyers that they can draft letters to scare nonpaying customers into paying there bills. If they are knowledgeable about the legal system they would now that it is a bluff because going to court would cost more than the legal fees. (this is US courts I am talking about, Canadian might be different)
I would think they might be using a similar technique. Not so much to scare JR, but to scare shareholders. Biggest thing I saw missing in those letters. There is no exhibits or attachments. Where is the signed contract? Without that you have no case.
