If a person can see it takes hydrocarbon-only plastic to make hydrocarbon-only fuels like diesel and naphtha...and can further see that the going price for hydrocarbon-only scrap plastics at $800/ton is roughly the same as the market/spot price/lb for gasoline or diesel, they can see that pyrolysis of hydrocarbon-only plastics can't be profitable no matter how efficient. A visit to the plant to see pyrolysis in action is moot. Just think how much further ahead you would have been if you had done that math five years ago.
