Mattersight Achieves Fifth Year of PCI-DSS Certification

CHICAGO, IL--(Marketwired - Jun 23, 2014) - Mattersight Corporation ( NASDAQ : MATR ), a leading provider of enterprise analytics, today announced that, for the fifth straight year, it has received the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) Level 1 Service Provider Certification, the highest level of validation for payment card data security.

Created by a council of major credit card companies to safeguard cardholder information, PCI-DSS represents a comprehensive set of rigorous requirements for merchants and service providers, enhancing payment account data security. The council supports the broad adoption of consistent data security measures to protect credit card data on a global basis. More information on the council and the standard can be found at www.pcisecuritystandards.org .

"In today's business climate, regular breaches of consumers' credit card and personal data are becoming mainstream. We've analyzed over a billion interactions for the nation's largest insurers, healthcare, consumer banking, and other organizations. Therefore, Mattersight's standard is to extend PCI level controls to protect all confidential data for our clients," said Kelly Conway, Mattersight's President and CEO.

In addition to PCI certification, Mattersight complies with a number of other security standards, including ISO 27001, and NIST SP 800-53. Complying with these security standards is an important and necessary prerequisite to the hosting and analysis of sensitive customer data, enabling Mattersight to drive significant business value for its clients.
